FESTIVALS

Art in the Park

In addition to oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, etching, photography, wood, and metalworking, stained glass, pottery, and a range of other rare and distinctive art forms, Art in the Park showcases more than fifty renowned artists in every field.

The artists who have worked on the show are from all throughout San Diego County. They were chosen through a five-person jurying procedure to ensure professional quality and uniqueness. Many of these can be seen at galleries and specialty shops all across San Diego. Some have their own studios and galleries.

Participating artists exhibit their work with us in order to benefit from direct contact with art buyers. Because the artists are required to present their own work, you will have the opportunity to speak with the creator of any artwork on display. Please come attend our show on your next vacation to Coronado. Our artists’ work is one-of-a-kind and professional, which you will appreciate.

Knotfest Roadshow

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, Rock 105.3 presented Slipknot with special guest Cypress Hill at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheater in San Diego as part of the Knotfest Roadshow 2022.

“It feels so amazing to get back out on the road with our Culture,” Slipknot’s clown said of the latest tour announcement. Prepare yourself for a completely new experience. “I’ll be in touch soon.”

“Even with everything going on in the world right now, we’re still incredibly happy to come back out in the States, with two separate, fantastic packages,” says frontman Corey Taylor. We take pride in bringing our fans to the center of our music and art, whether it’s In This Moment and Jinjer, or Cypress and Ho99o9. Come join us in celebrating, and try to keep as safe as we will.

Slipknot had a great year in 2021. Their Knotfest Roadshow 2021 tour, which sold out amphitheaters across the country, was bookended by the record-breaking Knotfest Iowa and the biggest headline show of their career, Knotfest Los Angeles at Banc of California Stadium, where they debuted their first new music in two years – the furious ‘The Chapeltown Rag,’ taken from the highly anticipated new Slipknot album, expected to be released this year. In addition, they have performed at a number of well-known events around the world, including Riot Fest, Rocklahoma, Incarceration, Welcome To Rockville, and others.

San Diego Tết Festival

Miss Vietnam San Diego TM was founded with the goal of raising the Vietnamese-American woman as a symbol of beauty and pride, captured both inwardly and externally via her poise, grace, intellectual power, and uniqueness.

By preserving the functions of the traditional attire ao dai, fostering collaboration via cultural dances, and directing questions to educate the audience on the perspective of culture through the eyes of Vietnamese women today, the pageant also helps to promote Vietnamese culture. Last but not least, its third goal is to bring people together, including women who participate, family and friends who watch, and everyone else involved in its creation, in order to develop a better sense of community.

It’s a chance to form long-lasting friendships, interact and have fun with people that share a Vietnamese-American identity. Miss Vietnam San Diego is a non-profit organization whose sole mission is to benefit the Vietnamese community. Its purpose is to elevate the Vietnamese-American woman, promote our culture and heritage, foster a lasting relationship amongst people of similar backgrounds, and define what it means to be united. Everyone’s a winner when it comes to achieving its aim.

San Diego Chinese New Year Fair

Because California was the first place in the United States where Chinese immigrants arrived and established, the Chinese New Year is a long-standing custom. The San Diego Chinese New Year Fair is a two-day cultural and culinary event. It features thrilling dances, Asian art, and delectable Chinese cuisine. The event is open to the public and is quite popular among families. The Fair is held in San Diego’s old Chinatown or the Asian Thematic District.

Since the 1980s, the San Diego Chinese Center (SDCC) has hosted the Chinese New Year Fair in San Diego. Every year, over 25,000 people attend, with over 50 food and souvenir stalls, live stage performances, lion and dragon dance parades, and more.
