T-shirts, surf- and casualwear with preppy designs, as well as caps, sandals, and sunglasses, are sold by this retailer.
Rick Ralston launched one of the first enterprises in the world to offer the modern “T-Shirt” in 1964, utilizing distinctive patterns that reflect the flamboyant Island lifestyle. Ralston set up shop on a Waikiki sidewalk, offering $5 for T-shirts airbrushed with monsters, hot automobiles, and surfing landscapes. Our brand has grown into a globally recognized casual clothes brand since being purchased by Only the Best, Inc. in 2001.
We’ve been outfitting millions (literally) of our followers in their enjoyment of everyday adventures for over 55 years. Our fans boldly wear their emotions on their sleeves, whether it’s with the remembrance of former travels, smart quips, and wordplay, or famous landscapes and meaningful social messages. Our goal is to create unique and memorable artwork that transports our admirers on a never-ending vacation from their daily lives. We’re still committed to providing high-quality clothing and excellent customer service!
Crazy Shirts first launched their custom-built corporate offices in Halawa Valley in 1982, and the company now employs over 300 people and is still going strong. This lovely structure was built for the company in the 1980s, and everything about it, from the yellow cedar exterior to the antiques within, is appropriate for a company whose employees are known as “Crazies.” The overriding idea that runs through everything we do is to create traditional objects while maintaining a sense of inventiveness and irreverence in design. In many ways, we create or assist individuals in preserving memories.
Crazy Shirts is noted for its great quality and craftsmanship, which are still the brand’s hallmarks today. To continue to deliver distinctive and original items that survive the test of time, we have accumulated years of experience and polished our competence in product research and development. Our “custom colored” clothes (including Kona coffee, Volcanic ash, Blue Hawaii Curacao liqueur, and many others) and the very popular “Hydro-print” board shorts and shirts that change the design when wet were among the first of their kind. Crazy Shirts has risen to the top of the very competitive world of retail clothes because of a remarkable combination of fit, form, and fun.
Crazy Shirts retail locations offer high-end merchandise that you won’t find anywhere else. We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings over 54 years ago as a little t-shirt airbrushing business on the sidewalks of Waikiki, with 23 locations spread across the four Hawaiian Islands and 12 on the mainland. Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, California, and The Shops at Kukui Ula in Poipu, Kauai, are two of our newest additions.
