Coronado is divided into several unique communities, each with its own set of amenities, residences, recreational opportunities, and entertainment alternatives. We’ll take a deeper look at the several neighborhoods that make up Coronado Island.
Coronado Cays is a marina community in Coronado. Coronado Cays is made up of ten sub-neighborhoods that run along the eastern side of the Silver Strand and are full of beachfront condos, modern townhomes, and wealthy villas. This neighborhood is peaceful and well-protected as it is a gated community. Residents also have access to the Pacific Ocean, which is particularly advantageous if you own a boat. Although there is restricted dock access, the housing is roomy.
Coronado Shores is located south of the Hotel Del Coronado and just a few steps from the beach. These condo units, which are housed in 10 15-story buildings, offer stunning bay and city views as well as year-round resort living. Four swimming pools and spas, multiple tennis courts, a private beach club, and a fitness facility, as well as a 24-hour doorman, are available to Coronado Shores homeowners. Residents may also walk or bike to a variety of shopping and food options in the vicinity.
Bay Front may be the neighborhood for you if you want to live on the water. Tidelands Park and the Ferry Landing Marketplace are both located on the island's east side. This neighborhood has a magnificent view of Downtown San Diego and offers waterfront condos to homebuyers.
View CommunityCountry Club Estates has a wide range of architectural styles, including many in the iconic L-shape. Many of the homes were erected as single-story residences along tree-lined lanes in the 1950s and 1960s, but have since been restored to incorporate modern two-story architecture. It’s the smallest neighborhood on the island, located on the northwest side (and one of the most private and quiet). Coronado Beach is also only a few minutes away from Country Club Estates.
Living in Ocean Front means being just three blocks from Coronado Beach and having views of the Pacific Ocean and Point Loma to the north. This compact neighborhood, which covers a quarter of a square mile, makes it simple to get to know your neighbors. Ocean Front is a historic neighborhood featuring homes built in architectural styles such as Colonial, Victorian, and English Tudor dating back to the 1800s. However, modern homes with Mediterranean, Spanish, or Nantucket exterior designs are also available.
Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa is an exquisite hideaway whether you're in town for an event or a waterfront break. The hotel is ideally positioned to provide quick access to Coronado Beach and San Diego attractions such as the Gaslamp District and Balboa Park, with views of the San Diego skyline and Coronado Bridge.
ViewAt Navy Pier in downtown San Diego, California, the USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft carrier museum. The aircraft carrier Midway is on display at the museum. The ship is home to a large collection of airplanes, many of which were produced in the state of California.
